CHILDREN’S CEREBRAL
PALSY: “WHAT TO DO”?
CORIGLIANO, October 16th, 2009. Next Sunday, the center
of Excellence, Azurra Association, in collaboration with the University
of Bari and patronized by the Social Services of Corigliano’s
Commune, have oprganized a madical-scientific meeting on Children’s
Cerebral Palsy.
This Association of Azurra
that has dedicated many years to the attention of disableness
of various types has created “A Dream for Georgia Pia Project”
– created and guided by its President Antonio Gallina –
that has made it his own- to make different media aware of the
social damage provoked over small Georgia Pia Curia. The girl
was born with a respiratory insufficiency, provoking a cerebral
anoxic harm, diagnosed as cerebral palsy.
This meeting will be characterized
by two moments; the first one, a medical-scientific event and
a second corresponding to a musical closing of the evant. Don
Piero Rose, Cantinella’s parish priest, will deliver greetings,
together with Marisa Caravetta, Sponsor for Social Services, the
President of Azurra’s Association, Antonio Gallina, University
Profesor of Surgical Physiopathology from University of Bari,Profesor
Rosario Polizzi and Corigliano’s Vice-Mayor Pasqualina Straface.
Herminio Mandarino,MD, Children’s
NeuroPsychiatrist of Cosenza ASP will expose on the “Clinical
Aspects of Children’s Cerebral Palsy” and Lic. Antonio
La Moglie, psychologist-psychotherapist will deliver his speech
on “Neurologic Disableness: Psycho-affective Incidence within
the Family”. There will also place the intervention of Juan
Roca Sierra, MD, Cuban CIREN’s responsible, as well as the
testimony of Natale Scalise, President of Aisnaf Association.
At the end, all will enjoy a Classical Guitar Concert by Master
Domenico Cimino.
