This laboratory performes specialized studies related to experimental models of several neurological diseases, evaluation of cell therapies and provides assistential support and care services at the institution clinical area. The following items are performed on this studiey:

- Characterization of cellular immune response in peripheral blood by studying the expression of various specific markers CD3, CD4, CD8, CD20 of lymphocytes populations and subpopulation, as well as markers that allow the evaluation of activation status of these cells: CD25, DR.

- Characterization of the cellular immune response in the CSF. In this aspect the same markers are analyzed in peripheral blood.

- Evaluation of humoral immunity, through the quantification of immunoglobulin G, M, A in serum.

- Site Assessment of functional status of the blood brain barrier, through the albumin index.

- Determination of the concentration of immunoglobulin G in CSF.

- Assessment of the presence of intrathecal synthesis of immunoglobulin G in CSF. This applies to the formulation (Reiber / Felgenhauer).

- Study of serum levels of NGF in different pathologies and associated experimental models.
